I have not updated since October, so most of you have probably taken me off your friends lists. However, it's late, I haven't had much sleep this weekend, and I just send off my college acceptances and declines, so I'm in a very strange mood. Very quixotic, I think, although I don't really know what that means. I think I'll set it as my mood icon. Yes, that little happy blue blob seems to very well encapsulate my mood. You see, I just made it official that I will, in fact, attending Whitman College next year. I'm a Whittie. That's it. I'm going. I'm going to Whitman. My college work is over, for the most part (I still have to send a cover letter and a transcript to try to get them to let me in for fall semester, since I was admitted for spring semester). Still. I'm frickin going to Whitman. I just spent $80 on Whitman merchandise. And I'm glad. Take my money, Whitman. Not just the $80. The $150,000. And I don't care. I'll leave college $70,000 in debt, but I don't care. I'm so happy.

so in response to everyone being like, "whoa, interns, stop being secretive and taking all the good hours etc..." heres this

WHAT HAPPENED DURING INTERN PERIOD:
First of all, we didn't know how much it mattered to people to have late hours, we knew everyone wanted them, but obviously not everyone can have them. So why not draw hours out of a hat, you ask? we talked about that, but some lists are less high energy and some hours need to be really high energy. otherwise we would do that, but we figured it was more important to make the danceathon good. yeah, we got some preference, but seriously, if you had the opportunity to choose your hour, what would you do? alana alli and i had hour ten, but now that we know how much people care, we'll switch hours. plus we lost three of our best songs from our list (including toxic and spice up your life, at least maura got one of them), so its not like we were saying, "we get all the cool songs/best hours, screw all non interns". If an hour sucks its going to be because of the music, not the hour. plus the gym will be dark the entire time.

second, EVERYONE turned in their list on time. in past years there hasn't been the freaky obsession with danceathon hours so it was first-come first-serve. so stop saying that because you turned yours in on time you should get a good hour. and stop saying how hard you worked on your hour, obviously we've all been working on them a lot, but then seriously, what is "working really hard on a danceathon song list"? come on, we made a lists.

and "secretive intern" stuff...umm, we've been planning like what the food assignments are for the danceathon, we did help put people in groups for the day-in-the-summer projects...sorry? but i guess it seems like we do secretive stuff cause people are upset, so i guess the moral of the story is we should somehow tell people what we do more often. but actually the moral is we are talking about what hour we play our music. at least no one gets the short hour.

That's right, folks, Alli is giving away two hours of community service absolutely free! See, here's my dilemma. I agreed, along with Alana and Chrissie, to volunteer at this fundraiser tomorrow from 4-6. Then I completely forgot about it. Yesterday, Coco called to invite me and Alana to a fashion show in the city featuring April, from America's Next Top Model, so I was ecstatic and still am, but now I have a major conflict.

So, in conclusion, if you and two friends could volunteer for me to help old ladies cross the street for two hours, I'd be your slave. And could pay you, like, $10 each. (Sorry, I'm po'.)

So here it is, because I always cave to peer pressure - my schedule! Because you were dying to know.

1st - Directing. If there was an evil grinning emoticon, it would go here. Because in a class full of freshman (especially drama), no one notices if the TAs smack a couple of kids around. In fact, it's encouraged. Well, not so much encouraged as discouraged. But I'll beat them anyway.

2nd - Biomed. Coco, Alana, and Lovelady. All in one class. It's about to explode from being so cool. But it doesn't explode, because some of the built-up coolness pressure is absorbed from the really difficult material. But the classroom is still slightly swollen from being so cool. Hmm. "Slightly swollen" really is not a good phrase to describe coolness. But in this case, nothing else will do.

3rd - Physics. Yes, that's right, folks. Weirdo Alli is taking two science classes right in a row. Well, let me tell you something: my name is Alli, not Weirdo Alli. Please stop calling me Weirdo Alli.

4th - Government. This class is minorly inflamed from coolness. It has Coco and Alana (again), but also some other really cool people (I forget who they are, exactly, but if you're reading this and you're one of the cool people then of course I remembered you, I just didn't put your name because it's obviously implied). But no Lovelady, so. You know.

5th - Humanities. I'm awfully conflicted about that class. At first, I hated that class, due to the entire lack of friends. But Mrs. Allen is apparently cool, and I'm getting some potential-friend vibes. But I'm a terrible judge of character, so those people I'm getting potential-friend vibes from are actually probably serial rapists with big white vans and stained wifebeaters. And really ugly, too.

6th - Interning. Um, can I just cancel school and do interning all day? It's nine of the coolest people this side of the Mississippi (granted, all the cool people are on the other side), plus Britt and Erik just being cool. Cooly cool cool to the max.

7th - Drama. Should be "Extended Interning Period Plus A Few Choice Seniors", but they couldn't fit the title onto the schedule, and apparently due to the subsequent lack of detail in the name, all these juniors and a few really square seniors have joined the class. But it's OK, we'll pull through. And yes, I did just use the word "square" to mean "not cool". Don't you want to bang me now?

Weee! Long entry! It means I'm bored! So I'm using exclamation points to sound more interesting! I bet that if I write my I's with exclamation points that !'ll seem even more !nterest!ing!!!!!!

So. I'm in Greece, and it's beautiful, as expected. Unfortunately, my sister has a fever and my dad has a migraine, so it's difficult to enjoy it knowing that they're miserable.

I've decided that I'm going to be one of those people who never ventures farther than five miles from where they grew up, and knows the name of everyone in the town they live in, and couldn't find South America on a map. It's sounding better and better. (I've only been home for two days since June 25; since school got out, I have stayed in a total of 7 different locations and by Sunday will have been on 10 seperate planes.)

-Act like it's an action movie and make comments such as "Oh man, that was awesome"
-When Jesus is nailed to the cross: "Come on, Jesus, use your heat vision!"

Hmmm. I seem to have forgotten most of them now. Oh well. We had a brainstorm-fest with my cousin. Now I'm sad that the Passion is out of theaters.

So. Kentucky, eh?

Here are some highlights:

-I drove around a trailer park on a golf cart. Alli = officially a hick

-The wedding was actually an hour-long mass, led by a minister who would put the sleaziest of televangelists to shame. Plus, during the mass, I found out that my life without Jesus was like smelly foot water. And that a woman shouldn't be submissive to a man, but should simply treat him like Christ.

-I was with all my family that I like, and had some great times laughing and sharing thoughts on politics and religion (even though they live in Kentucky and Tennessee, they're mostly very liberal).

-My mom's cousin came over to say a "quick" goodbye and brought with her a 1,000+ page binder she had made on our family's geneology. And went through the last 300 or so pages page by page. Apparently, a "quick goodbye" means 2 hours of discussing Pliny Andrews and who he married.

And that's about all.

REALLY EXCITED FOR SUMMER

Oh, also, a funny joke I heard on Conan O'Brian. (It seems like an oxymoron, doesn't it? But don't worry, Conan didn't say it. A guest comedian did. So there won't be a plague of locusts.)

The Harry Potter movies are not good movies. Granted, I haven't seen the third one, so my critique will stick to the first two, but people have been saying "The third one might be the best one yet!", which is an awful lot like saying "This poke in the eye with a red-hot poker is the least painful one yet!"

Harry Potter movies one and two were bad. Just bad movies. The acting was atrocious, the exposition was way over the top, and the special effects? Not that great. Not to mention the fact that they didn't stay on topic half the time. Jesus, read the damn book, screenwriters. I would just like everyone to be aware of that. I don't know what this "Omg! Harry Potter movies are awesome!!!!!11" fad is, since the Harry Potter movies are not, in fact, awesome. In the least.

So to sum up, if you're one of the people who actually truly likes the Harry Potter movies, please go burn in hell.

I'm really happy. And I've been really happy for the past two weeks or so. Maybe it's summer. I dunno. But I was studying for my math final, which should put me in a bad mood, and I just started spontaneously and uncontrollably smiling. I love everyone. This is going to be the best summer ever, followed by the best year ever. Life really can't get any better than it is right now, or is going to be for the next year.

This really isn't an important post, but I thought that livejournal could use some cheer. So cheer up. Alli loves you.

It's weird how no matter how odd-looking you think it'll look, it always looks good. And some of the ones in the gallery are frickin amazing. People have way too much time on their hands.

I haven't talked about my day in, like, months. It wouldn't be interesting - mostly bitching about how busy I am. But it's Friday, and I finally, FINALLY have a weekend day where I'm not doing much so I can clean my room and wash my car and do all those things that desperately need to get done. Fun on the weekends? What's that? I'm glad I have an entire Saturday so that I can do chores. Hmmm. I wanted to have an arrow that pointed to me and said "loser", but I realized that this is the internet, and so it really wouldn't work out that well. It would probably end up pointing at the previous word, or at you. But you get the idea.

Oh, yeah. I remember why I'm glad I have a free day. SLEEP. I slept for two hours when I got home (I set an alarm to go off after half an hour, but I must have turned it off and gone back to sleep so fast that I don't remember doing it, because it was definitely on when I went to sleep at 6 and it was definitely off when I woke up at 8) and I'm STILL exhausted. But...yay for sleep. And yay for advanced drama. I love those guys. Like, there isn't a single person where I go "ew, I really don't like that person". Unlike the current intermediate kids. Jesus H. Christ, why did everyone annoying ever decide to do advanced next year. It's like they had a meeting and were like, "The class of 05's last year of drama isn't bad enough without a theater - let's all do drama and harrass them!" Hmm, it would suck if someone asked you if you wanted to come to a meeting.

Someone is going to ask me to come to a meeting because of this post. It isn't even entertaining. It's just long and self-indulgent.

I remember why I stopped writing about things - see above post. Oh well, too late to delete it now.
